Welcome! My name is Raegan West and I'm from Louisville, Kentucky. Some of my favorite hobbies include reading and horseback riding. I'm in the Youth Performing Arts School (YPAS) magnet at DuPont Manual Highschool. I have achieved a leading position in the orchestra, as well as being accepted into an exclusive orchestra program called Louisville Youth Orchestra. Academic Statement
The skills that I have learned in my career so far will assist me in achieving my future as a clinical veterinarian. I am currently doing shadow work at Hopewell Animal Hospital and use this and other opportunities to showcase and hone my skills in caring for animals. I also volunteer at a horse barn, which gives me further experience in caring for animals. My plan moving forward is to focus on my education and use the knowledge I gain from being a student at University of Louisville in becoming a veterinarian. More specifically, I will purse projects and positions in equine and large animal medicine.Â
